Trail Description

Canoe Creek offers many miles of scenic trails throughout the park. The trails explore forests, fields, wetlands, shrubby areas, historic areas and the lakeshore. The one-mile Bike Trail is between US 22 and Mattern Road. The trail passes through the day use area and the historic site. Bikes are prohibited on hiking and equestrian trails. Equestrian trails loop through the north side of the park. Mattern, Hartman, and parts of Moore’s Hill trails can be reached from the parking lot off of Mattern Road. Most of the trails stem out from the historic Blair Limestone Kilns located in the heart of the park. There are nine trails altogether, two classified as easy, six moderate/difficult, and one difficult. The shortest trail is Marsh Trail Loop which is 0.4 miles long and the longest is Moore's Hill Loop which is 3.2 miles long. Some trails offer scenic overlooks with beautiful views of the natural landscape surrounding the park. Park maps outlining the trails in detail are free for anyone at the park office.
