Mount Nittany is an important geographic and cultural landmark for the people of Centre County and alumni of Penn State University. The land is owned by the Lions Paw Alumni Association, the Mount Nittany Conservancy, and College Township. All the trails are natural surfaces. The trailhead sits at an elevation of approximately 1360 feet, and the trails extend to an elevation of 2040 feet. There are seven designated overlooks in the trail system. More information about the trail system can be found on the Mount Nittany Conservancy website.
