Trail Description

The Redbank Valley Trail system is 51 miles of scenic rails to trails between the Allegheny River and Brookville, including 9 miles from Lawsonham to Sligo. Enjoy views of Redbank Creek and its tributaries, rock formations, beautiful flowers and wildlife. There are many sites of historical interest and many former natural resource-based industries along the route that the rail corridor once served. The trail is part of a large growing network, including the Armstrong Trail, Erie to Pittsburgh, Great Allegheny Passage and others. Volunteers of the Redbank Valley Trails Association develop and maintain the trail through private donations and some grants. Many volunteer hours have been donated to create this wonderful resource. Check the trail website, Facebook, or map for current conditions. Water, cell phone service and rest areas are limited, but available in towns. Plan your trip accordingly. Please respect the trail, trail users and adjacent private property.
